Everton set to host charity match for Bradley Lowery

Published on: 24 July 2017

Everton will host a charity match to celebrate the life of Bradley Lowery.

The six-year old passed away last month after a brave battle with cancer.

Over the past few years, Lowery endeared himself to football fans across England, and especially at his beloved Sunderland, and Everton.

A host of celebrities will kit-up to take part in the match, which will be played at Goodison Park in September.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright said: "We kept in touch with his magnificent family throughout the weeks and months that he battled like few six-year-olds, and I will treasure forever the little goodnight videos he sent to me.

"I was so privileged to know him and his family for the brief time I did," he said. "I know Evertonians like me all felt privileged that little battling Bradley Lowery, adopted us as his second club."
