Ghanaian goalkeeper Felix Annan has explained why he terminated his contract with US-based side Maryland Bobcats FC.

The 28-year-old joined the Cats on a two-year deal after ending his stay with Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

Explaining why he left the club, Annan said, “I was with Maryland Bobcats in the USA last season, actually, we were going to continue this year as well because I had agreed a new contract with them verbally but there was an intentional issue that could not be resolved, hence the decision to leave”

“At the end of the day, we are two parties and we all have to come into agreement and terminate the contract. Those internal issues were important and ones they were unable to solve it, I decided not to continue. I know they miss me and then I miss them as well”

Annan, who currently a free agent is expected to find himself a new club.

He won the 2022 NISA Independent Cup in the US third division during his stay with Yellow and Blacks.

Felix Annan made his debut for the Black Stars in 2019 against Namibia and went on to make the final squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in the same year.
