Former Administrative Manager of Asante Kotoko, Samuel Sarfo Duku has expressed positivity at the appointment of the four-member Interim Management Committee (IMC) but has cautioned them against complacency.

The four-member committee was put together on Saturday following the dissolution of the Dr Kwame Kyei-led 12-member board of directors and the Nana Yaw Amponsah-led management following the expiration of their mandate.

Sarfo Duku, who is also a former Head of Legal Affairs of the club lauded the team assembled and believes they can achieve big things this season.

"Yes, I see it as a very promising and productive IMC because of the blend of knowledge and good skill. Regarding the Administrative aspects, I am told [Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua] is a Chartered Accountant and looking at the background of Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, Akwesi Appiah and Ogum, who are also on board as technical persons in the game of football, I think it is a promising team," he told Citi Sports.

"I wish them well, but they shouldn’t think they know everything, and not rely on other people for help if the need arises.

"Football is a very complicated industry, Kotoko is a big family with people from all walks of life with different opinions.

"They should know how to handle the affairs of the club, so they get the support of all if they want to succeed. That is what they should aim at," he added. The members of the IMC are Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua who is the Kontomponiaferehene and a chartered accountant, former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has been named the new head coach, and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, who will serve as the administrative manager.
