Ex-Asante Kotoko defender Christopher Nettey close to joining Nations FC

Former Great Olympics right-back, Christopher Nakai Nettey, is on the verge of signing with Nations FC, as the Abrankese-based club strategically aims to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.

Following his departure from Asante Kotoko, the 25-year-old defender featured prominently for Great Olympics in the previous season and is now set to make a transition to Nations FC, as kickgh.com reported.

Nettey is reportedly close to finalizing his personal terms with Nations FC and is slated to undergo a medical examination in Kumasi this week.

Should the medical examination proceed as expected, he is anticipated to be officially unveiled by the club next week.

Having made 20 appearances for Great Olympics before their relegation, Nettey's potential move to Nations FC marks a significant development in the club's efforts to fortify their defensive line for the upcoming season.

His experience of playing for big clubs like Asante Kotoko and Ghana’s home-based national team, the Black Galaxies, will be of great help to Nations as their title charge in their first season fizzled out.
