Ex-BA United management member 'curses' current CEO Kwame Baah

Former management member of Brong Ahafo (BA) United, Atta BA has practically rained curses on current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club, Kwame Baah, for not paying an amount due him years back.

Atta BA ,who had a 21-year spell with the club, lamented over his unpaid entitlements at the club.

According to him, the Brong Ahafo-based club has failed to pay his entitlements after guiding the club to qualify to participate in the Ghana Premier League some years ago and has, therefore fingered the CEO of playing hide and seek in the matter.

“After qualifying the team, management decided to share over GHS 20,000 amongst them. Truth to be told, I was ignored as other management members snubbed me.”

“In fact, I was told I’m going to receive a nice package due to the role I have played for the club. I waited for months but to no avail. Being the Welfare officer of the club at that time, I had almost all the properties of the club in my care."

He aded: "The team had a match in Accra so they came for the away jersey which I gave it out to them. After some weeks they came again for the home jersey and I told them that, if they do not give me my money, I won’t give the jersey to them."

"Because I thought as much that they would not pay me my money should I give the jersey to them. Kwame Baah then told me if I don’t give out the jersey to them, they will stone me. This triggered my anger pulse, so I chased them out with a cutlass. However, after the incident Kwame Baah called for my arrest which the police did,” he stated.

The Chief Executive Officer of BA United shared his thoughts on the matter in an interview with Don Summer of Angel FM in Kumasi. He opined that he is the most successful chairman in the club’s history after not losing a single match having played 15 matches in the truncated season despite the latter’s curses.

Despite admitting Atta BA chased them out of his house with a cutlass, he rubbished his claims of management getting bonuses after their qualification without him.

He expressed that; no management member received any money as purported to be, but says the money was shared among technical team only.

“My brother the money was shared amongst members of technical team and he (Atta BA) wasn’t part of them. He has branded himself as Atta BA but whatever he does is wrong. He has dragged the club to court which is disheartening,” he concluded.
