Kwesi Appiah has been hugely criticized following Friday’s 1-1 draw against Congo in the World Cup qualifiers, denting Ghana’s chances of an appearance in Russia.

The Black Stars could not take advantage of Egypt’s defeat on Thursday and many have blamed Appiah for the lackluster performance on Friday.

However, Laryea Kingston who himself has acquired some coaching badges says Kwesi Appiah should be given time to build his own team.

“They should give him sometime to build his team. Already Ghanaians are not confident about our qualification chances, so I entreat them to leave the World Cup for now and focus on how Kwasi Appiah can build a new team which will become very solid in the future,” Laryea said on GHOne.

The Black Stars will travel to Brazzaville for the second leg on Tuesday and anything short of a win will mean Ghana are out of the world Cup.
