Former Ghana international, Augustine Ahinful has showered praises on Black Stars, Ernest Nuamah and Antoine Semenyo for their impact.

The pair featured in Black Stars' last two games against Central African Republic (CAR) and Liberia.

Semenyo following his introduction against CAR in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers at the Baba Yara Stadium assisted Nuamah to double Ghana's lead to end the game 2-1 to seal the country's qualification for the AFCON tournament scheduled to be hosted in Ivory Coast next year.

In the international friendly against Liberia at the Accra Sports Stadium, Nuamah, who joined Lyon this summer again found the back of the net as the Black Stars recorded a 3-1 win.

Accessing the performance of forwards Antoine Semenyo and Ernest Nuamah, Ahinful described their contribution as very good and said they had settled in well into the team.

However, he also noted that Nuamah occasionally displayed excessive exuberance and advised him to learn when to pass rather than taking on defenders unnecessarily.

“They’ve done well but Nuamah needs to learn not to take players on all the time. Not all balls that you have to take on a player,” Ahinful told Graphic Sports in an interview.
