Ex-Crystal Palace star: We\'ll lose Loftus-Cheek back to Chelsea; he\'s not as good as Cesc

Former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison rates Ruben Loftus-Cheek ahead of Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

However, claims from Chris Sutton that he's better than Cesc Fabregas are wide of the mark.

Morrison told AskFans: "He's got a long way to be at someone like Fabregas' level, but that's not to say he can't get there.

"I think he's as good as Bakayoko is now who Chelsea paid a lot of money for.

"Maybe they are different types of players but I think he's just as good.

“But he wants to play every week and he will thrive at Palace so it's a good learning curve for him.

"I think he will finish the season off with us and then go back to Chelsea and make himself a regular."

Morrison continued: "Chelsea have too many good players for him to get in there, but he showed the other night against Germany that he should be in and around Chelsea's first team.

"I saw him three years ago and I thought 'this kid has got it all'. To make your international debut and be so comfortable on the ball is incredible.

“Nothing seems to phase him. He was playing in front of 70,000 fans [at Wembley] and always wanted possession.

"Hopefully he can now come back to Palace and continue doing the business."
