Ex-Ghana defender John Paintsil eyes Black Stars coaching job in the future

Former Ghana defender, John Paintsil has set his sight on coaching the senior national team, the Black Stars in the near future.

The 39-year-old who had a brief spell as a coach with Kaizer Chiefs following his retirement from the national team is currently with Ghana Premier League side, Legon Cities.

Speaking to Citi TV, Paintsil revealed that he is working on earning his coaching badges that will make him eligible for the position.

“Yes I’m working on my badges, he said.

“We are just waiting on the FA to give us the green light as to when we can do the course.

“Coaching the national team will be a dream come true, so I’ll be praying towards that.

“Coaching the national team will be a very interesting one,” he concluded.

Paintsil played a total of 89 matches for Ghana’s national team.
