Ex-Hearts player Bernard Don Bortey wants unsettled signing on fee paid

Accra Hearts of Oak legend Bernard Don Bortey has asked management of the Club to settle his unpaid signing on fee after joining the club at the beginning of the Millennium. 

The 35 year old has revealed the club still owes him an amount of GHC 7000 from his signing on in 2001, and want the money paid.

Bernard Don Bortey joined the rainbvow club in 2001 from GAPOHA, has has achieved a lot of success with the club including helping them win the 2004 Confederations Cup.

However, the relationship between the two parties has become acrimonious since leaving the Phobians, and the player is now demanding an amount GHC 7000 left as unpaid debt given to him.

''When I joined Hearts of Oak, the management promised to give me GH¢ 10,000 for three years,'' he told Happy FM.

''I was given GH¢ 3,000 , the rest has still not been paid. I know GH¢ 7,000 is not any money for Hearts of Oak, so I’m pleading with them to settle me.''

Bernard Don Bortey since leaving Accra Hearts of Oak has played for several clubs including Aduana Stars and New Edubiase in the Ghana Premier League.
