Ex-Inter Milan midfielder Muntari looked unrecognisable after he came out of retirement to join Hearts of Oak

Former AC and Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari looked unrecognisable after coming out of retirement to play in his native country of Ghana.

The 37-year-old joined Hearts of Oak in February 2022 on a short-term deal and churned out impressive performances for the club as they finished 6th on the league table and retained their MTN FA Cup by beating Bechem United.

He also propelled the side to win the 2022 President's Cup against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Muntari netted his first goal for Hearts in their 2-1 win over WAFA on match week 19 of the 2021/22 Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.

He put up an incredible performance in the President Cup a Hearts defeated Kotoko 2-1 to lift the trophy at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Muntari is best remembered for his time at Inter Milan where he helped the team win the Champions League in 2009/10 and the Serie A title in 2008/09 and 2009/10.

In total, he clinched eight major titles between 2008 and 2012 with the Serie A side.

He was also part of the Portsmouth team that won the FA Cup in 2007/08.

After becoming a full international in 2002, Muntari earned over 80 caps for Ghana and was selected for two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and three FIFA World Cups.
