Ex-Kotoko CEO Herbert Mensah congratulates club for winning 25th Premier League title

Ex-Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Herbert Mensah has congratulated the club for winning their 25th Ghana Premier League title on Thursday after Ashanti Gold stalemate.

The Porcupine Warriors emerged as winners of the league with three matches left to play to the end of the season.

After a 1-1 draw with Ashanti Gold on Thursday at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium, Kotoko currently have 60 points, 10 more points than second-placed Bechem United.

"And when it mattered most ALL remembered the heritage of greatness that was required of them," Herbert Mensah posted on twitter.

"It was not just the eleven plus their technical handlers but the millions and the spirit of many more that drove them back to where they belong at the top! "Wo kum apem, apem beba".

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum side's will be crowned champions of their 25th Premier League title on Sunday June 12, 2022 when they host Elmina Sharks on match week 33.

By virtue of winning the league title, Kotoko will represent Ghana at next year's CAF Champions League.
