Ex-Liverpool striker Sinama-Pongolle: Mbappe to Real Madrid? He should...

Former Liverpool and Atletico Madrid striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle believes Kylian Mbappe needs to think carefully about leaving Monaco.

It's emerged in the last 24 hours that Monaco and Real Madrid have agreed a €160m fee for the teen.

Sinama-Pongolle, who joined Liverpool as a teenager, told France Football: "He is a very intelligent boy, well surrounded. I'm sure he'll make the best decision.

"In my opinion, Monaco is a great option for him. He knows the place, will continue to evolve at the highest level, will stay in the media light. The Monaco option brings together many positive points. Afterwards, I know very well that the life of a footballer is made of opportunities that must be grasped. Especially we never know what tomorrow will happen.

"Look at Fekir in Lyon or Plea in Nice who have broken their cruciate ligaments. High-level sport requires rigor and an enormous demand. Will he be able to bear it at his age? I do not know. Monaco is perfect for him."
