Ex-Valencia Coach Launches Foul Mouthed Tirade at La Liga Side After Horrific Copa del Rey Defeat

Ever the consummate professional during his playing days, Phil Neville rarely spoke out of turn when it came to discussing his managers, clubs or fellow players.

Now that the ex-Manchester United and Everton footballer has retired, however, Neville has become more outspoken than many football fans had expected, and no more so was this in evidence than during a recent trip to Spain to watch former side Valencia in action.

Neville had been assistant manager to brother Gary during his ill-fated stint in charge at the La Liga club, and was left fuming upon seeing the Mestalla-based outfit fall to a 4-1 Copa del Rey home defeat to Celta Vigo on Wednesday.

So infuriated with Valencia's performance in the cup loss, Neville took to his official Twitter account to lambast the club in a foul-mouthed tirade by typing "F*** Valencia" in Spanish:

The 39-year-old must have realised that he had stepped out of line with the supposed tweet, or had a quiet word whispered in his ear, as he later deleted the evidence of cursing Valencia for their insipid display.

Neville wasn't the only unhappy spectator, though, as Valencia's fans booed their team off at half-time and demonstrated against club owner Peter Lim and sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch after the encounter.

The tough times at Valencia continue, it would seem.
