EXCLUSIVE: Afriyie Acquah shuts the door on Empoli; eyes move to England

Published on: 28 July 2018

Ghana combative midfielder, Afriyie Acquah has shut the door on a possible move to Serie B side Empoli in favour of a switch to England.

Acquah has struggled to break into the first team of Torino since the arrival of the former Watford boss.

Torino were looking to include him in a trade deal for Empoli player Rade Krunic in the ongoing summer transfer window.

However, the Ghana international is not in favor of the move and has declined to negotiate.

The hard-tackling midfielder awaits offers from the Premier League that, at the moment, have not arrived yet.

Stoke City, Newcastle United, Swansea City among other clubs have expressed interest in securing the service of Afriyie Acquah.
