Footballghana.com can exclusively report that Jonathan Annan Mensah’s transfer to FC Martigues could not go through because of a failed visa acquisition attempt.
Having parted ways with Armenian Premier League side FC Lori Vanadzor earlier this year, the Ghanaian international secured a move to the French lower-tier side as a free agent ahead of the next football season.
Unfortunately, the deal had to be called off, forcing Jonathan Annan Mensah to look for a different club.
Checks by your most trusted online portal have uncovered that FC Martigues abandoned the signing of the versatile defender because of a problem with a French visa which was not granted.
Meanwhile, as reported on Wednesday, Annan Mensah has earned a transfer to Armenian Premier League outfit Urartu Yerevan Football Club.
“We are happy to announce that Urartu Football Club has a new signing. The club has signed a contract with 24-year-old defender Annan Mensah”, an official statement said after the deal was completed.
