EXCLUSIVE: Ernest Thompson ditches Ebusua Dwarfs amid poor results

Published on: 12 June 2021

Ghanaian coach, Ernest Thompson Quartey has resigned from his role as head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs, footballghana.com can exclusively confirm.

Footballghana.com understands that the poor run of form from the Cape Coast-based side forced his hand to leave the job and he will be looking at other options going forward.

The experienced manager did not travel with the team to Obuasi this weekend for the tie against AshantiGold after submitting his resignation.

In their last five games, Ebusua Dwarfs have recorded just two victories, losing two more and drawing one. The club is yet to release an official statement confirming his decision but it is understood that they will do so in the coming hours.

Ebusua Dwarfs are currently 16th on the league log with 31 points. There are five matches left to play.
