Exclusive: Four Ghanaians miss out on 'Promise of the Year' award

Somewhat surprisingly, Yari Verschaeren received the title of 'Promise of the Year'. The Anderlecht player made it ahead of fellow young Anderlecht sensation Jeremy Doku and three other Ghanaians.

The prize were awarded at the Golden Shoe gala.  Yari Verschaeren of Anderlecht received 320 votes. Jonathan David from KAA Gent placed second with 275 points and Sander Berge from KRC Genk placed third with 252 points.
