The Turkish Super Lig outfit last Monday regrouped to officially commence preparations for next season.
In the first three days, Ghana international Caleb Ekuban was absent, sparking rumours of an imminent move away from the club.
On Thursday, reports suggested that Trabzonspor is unhappy with the player for late arrival in camp and is planning to sanction the forward for his actions.
In what appears to be a move to put clarity to the who matter, the Turkish club has today announced that Caleb Ekuban sought an extended leave to attend to private matters and that is why he has been absent from pre-season these last few days.
According to the club, their talisman will report for pre-season on Saturday where he will for the first time train with his teammates ahead of the upcoming football season.
