EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian defender Richard Ofori leaves Portuguese side Vizela after two years

Ghanaian international, Richard Ofori has called time at Portuguese club Sporting Vizela after spending two years at the club.

The defender signed for the Portuguese club from Spanish outfit AD de Fafe. He subsequently went on to fight for a starting place at the new club where he succeeded.

In the last two seasons at Vizela, Richard Ofori had key roles to play for his team and helped the team to compete in the Portuguese top-flight league.

At the end of the 2021/22 football season, the left-back has decided to move on to a different challenge.

He has hence said his goodbyes to his teammates with the club officially confirming that Richard Ofori will not be part of their squad for the next football season.

“for all the commitment, professionalism, and other contributions made to the club throughout this season. We are confident that the call was a success and made both parties happy. At the same time, he wishes the player the best personal and professional happiness for the future,” an appreciation message from Vizela has said.

While in Portugal, Richard Ofori scored two goals in the two seasons where he was featured in 56 matches.
