EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian youngster Claud Adjapong set to join Hellas Verona

Serie A side Hellas Verona are set to complete the signing of Ghanaian defender Claud Adjapong from US Sassuolo in the on-going summer transfer window, Footballghana.com can exclusively report.

The Italian Seria A side have reached an agreement with Hellas Verona over the transfer of the 21-year-old.

The 21-year-old will undergo his mandatory medical and complete the formalities at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.

The Newly-promoted side want to augment their squad with the acquisition of the right-back ahead of the start of the 2019/20 season.

The highly-rated defender is leaving Sassuolo due to lack of regular playing time where he made only five appearances and scored only one goal last season.

His season-long loan deal has an option of buying around a transfer fee of eight million euros.

Adjapong born to Ghanaian parents in Modena is still eligible to represent Ghana despite playing for the Italy U19 and U21 sides.
