Exclusive: Hansa, VfB and Waldhof chase striker Osei Owusu

Prince Osei Owusu 23, was most recently on loan for third tier side TSV 1860 Munich for a year and a half and played in 44 third division games - scoring seven goals and preparing six goals in the Bundesliga 3.

Owusu is still under contract with Arminia Bielefeld until June 2021, but no longer has any prospects at East Westphalia, he did not travel to the training camp and can leave the club.

"We don't have as many inquiries for any player as for Prince Owusu. From abroad, 1st division, 3rd division, up and down. Up to now there wasn't the right one for the player. We have to respect that," said Arminia Sporting Director Samir Arabi.

At Hansa Owusu could replace the injured John Verhoek who is out with a hamstring injury.

"Definitely an interesting player," said manager Martin Pieckenhagen speaking to the Bild newspaper.

VfB Lübeck also currently has two injured attackers, Nicolas Hebisch and youngster Jamie Shalom. And at SV Waldhof, Owusu, who played 11 times for Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga 2, would only be the second striker in the team.

The decision as to where the former youth player of VfB Stuttgart is going should be made in the coming days.

The left-footed forward's current market value is €250,000 and he previously played for SV Grün-Weiß Sommerrain at youth level before moving to VfB Stuttgart.
