EXCLUSIVE: Injury-prone Kwadwo Asamoah to be replaced at Inter Milan

Published on: 26 December 2019

Footballghana.com can exclusively report that Italian side Inter Milan will look to find a replacement for Ghanaian international Kwadwo Asamoah in the January transfer window.

The move has become necessary due to the left wing-back's inability to stay fit as he continues to battle with a recurring injury.

The former Juventus player has been injury-prone for the last couple of seasons and continues to face the same problem in the ongoing 2019/2020 Serie A season.

According to reports, his manager Antonio Conte is concerned due to how vulnerable his side becomes when the trusted Kwadwo Asamoah is not available for selection.

Due to that, the Italian gaffer is set to bring in a new left-back to sort out the issue. It is understood that Spanish international Marco Alonso is the preferred man for the boss who he worked with at Chelsea.

Inter Milan’s link to Marco Alonso is very strong with Turin newspaper Tuttosport reporting the story.

It is yet to be known whether the Serie A giants have made or will make a bid for Asamoah’s replacement in the January transfer window or not.
