EXCLUSIVE: Kwabena Owusu reveals why he left Cordoba

Ghana U-23 striker Kwabena Owusu has noted that he was forced to push for a move away from Cordoba because of harsh treatment from the club’s coach Raúl Agné.

The Black Meteors forward completed a transfer from Leganes to Azerbaijani side Qarabag on a three-year deal over the weekend.

In an interview after making the switch, the attacker has opened up on what motivated his move from Cordoba where he was spending a season-long loan.

According to him, the club was struggling to pay his wages on top of unfriendly treatment from manager Raúl Agné

He stressed in the interview that he was ready to play for the club and help them in the ongoing season with all the salary issue. However, the fall out with the manager of the club got worse and left him with no choice but to seek a move to another club.

Owusu is now with Qarabag where he will potentially fulfill his dream of playing in the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League.
