Footballghana.com can exclusively report that Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade rejected a €2 million offer from Antalyaspor when they tried to sign Ghanaian international Richard Boakye-Yiadom.

The Turkish Super Lig side was in the January transfer window looking to sign a striker to boost their squad for the second round of the 2019/2020 season.

While they made an offer to Red Star Belgrade for Boakye-Yiadom, the club rejected the tempting €2 million.

Coach for the Serbian side Dejan Stankovic and the club believes the Ghanaian forward is worth more than what Antalyaspor offered and decided to keep him until the end of the season.

This season, the in-demand attacker has made 21 appearances and has scored six goals as well as provided 2 assists.

His contract is due to expire in December 2020 and it is understood that a lot of European clubs are lurking around to pounce in to secure his services in the summer transfer window.
