Schalke O4 have reached an agreement with fellow Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf over the transfer of Bernard Tekpetey.
The Royal Blues are set to part ways with the Ghanaian striker after exercising their €2.5m buy-back clause for the 21 year old who helped SC Paderborn secure Bundesliga promotion last season.
The Ghana U23 star will sign a two year loan deal with Fortuna Düsseldorf in the coming days. The agreement includes a €2.5m option to buy. Schalke will however retain an €8m buy-back clause.
Tekpetey scored 10 goals and 6 assists in 32 league appearances in the German second division last season.
