Austrian Bundesliga side SK Sturm Graz are set to complete the signing of Ghanaian youngster Gideon Mensah from Red Bull Salzburg in the on-going summer transfer window, Footballghana.com exclusively report.
The UPC Arena outfit are eager to acquire the services of Mensah on a season-loan deal before the transfer deadline
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at SK Sturm Graz where he made 15 appearances for the club.
After a successful loan spell at SK Sturm Gra, the highly-rated defender rejoined his parent club, Red Bull Salzburg.
He was one of the standout players during Red Bull Salzburg pre-season friendlies, however, he has struggled to start for the Austrian champions in the on-going 2019/20 season.
Spanish giants FC Barcelona expressed interest in signing the former WAFA prodigy but failed to reach an agreement with Red Bull Salzburg.
His contract with Red Bull Salzburg will end in summer 2024.
