Barcelona are among a host of top clubs linked with Ghana and Atlético Madrid ace Thomas Partey as Quique Setién weighs up his options in midfield heading into 2020/21, Footballghana.com can exclusively report.

The 26-year-old is enjoying his best season in LaLiga with Atletico Madrid and with his release clause set at just €50million (£43.5m), it is no surprise he is on ‎Barça's radar.

Partey has made 31 appearances in all competitions for Los Rojiblancos as they lie 6th on the league table with 45 points after 27 matches played thus far.

His fine form in the Spanish top-flight this term has reportedly attracted interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, and PSG.

Barcelona are looking at signing the Ghanaian as a possible replacement for Spanish midfielder Sergio Busquets who has struggled with fitness.

The Spanish champions already have Frenkie de Jong and Arthur in their squad with the latter failing to command a starting XI.

Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, are working on a new deal to tie down the player until 2026 (his current contract runs until 2023) and want to increase his clause to a more prohibitive €100m (£87m), according to reports in Spain.
