Exclusive: Turkish club Boluspor hit with transfer ban over Edwin Gyasi's unpaid salary

Published on: 01 January 2022

Turkish club Boluspor will not be able to sign new players when the January transfer window opens in Turkey.

Boluspor was slapped with a transfer ban because they have not paid Edwin Gyasi when he played for them.

They owe attacker Edwin Gyasi an amount of 800,000 Turkish Lira.

The 30-year-old Dutch-born Ghanaian, who currently plays for Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem, is scheduled to get the amount stated from the red and whites as part of his loan fee.

Gyasi joined Boluspor on loan from Samsunspor in January 2021, playing 11 games for the club in Turkey.

However, the club did not match the financial parameters of the loan agreement, resulting in a fine from Turkish football authorities.

The Bolu representative will need to pay Gyasi so that the club can operate in the transfer market.
