Exim Bank to become the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League- REPORTS

Published on: 13 February 2020

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to announce Exim Bank as the headline sponsor for the Ghana Premier League in the coming weeks, per reports.

Reports on Tuesday indicated that the leaders of Ghana Football Association are in advanced talks with Exim Bank, a financial institution to become the main sponsor of the nation’s top flight league as part of their re-branding and rebuilding process.

The Ghana Premier league has been without a major sponsor since the start of the 2019-20 season but that is set to end as they are deep in talks for the competition to be named Exim Bank Ghana Premier League should the discussions reach a positive conclusion.

The terms and conditions for the partnership have still not been brought to the public eye but sources say the talks are positive and are likely to be concluded soon.

It was earlier reported that German multinational company BMW have expressed interest in becoming the headline sponsor of the Ghana premier league but nothing concrete has come out of those earlier reports.
