FA clear Man City midfielder Bernardo Silva of simulation wrongdoing

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva will not face further action from the FA for his alleged simulation against Burnley on Saturday.

The Citizens won the match 3-0, but the deadlock was broken after Silva was awarded a penalty in the first half, which was converted by Sergio Aguero. Replaysshowed that Clarets goalkeeper Nick Pope had barely touched the Portuguese, however Silva has insisted he was touched.

Following the introduction of new laws in May, the FA now reviews incidents where possible simulation may have occurred, but Silva has been cleared of any such action.

Carlise's Shaun Miller became the first person to be punished under the new laws, receiving a two-match ban.
