Wigan's Will Grigg scores opening goal in FA Cup tie vs West Ham Getty
League One high-fliers Wigan produced a blistering performance to dump Premier League side West Ham out of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win at the DW Stadium.
Wigan started at high speed and led after less than 10 minutes when Northern Ireland striker Will Grigg thundered in a header.
The visitors suffered a setback when Pedro Obiang was stretchered off after a strong challenge from Wigan's Max Power, and were down to 10 men early in the second period when Arthur Masuaku spat at Power and was shown a red card.
Wigan soon doubled their lead when Grigg fired home from the penalty spot after West Ham's Reece Burke was adjudged to have handled.
