Hearts of Oak midfielder, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen has disclosed that Asante Kotoko midfielder Fabio Gama confessed to him that he faked a foul to win a penalty for the reds.

According to the Phobian, the Porcupine Warriors midfielder told him he decided to fake the foul because he was being a stubborn midfielder during the Super Clash.

“He said I am a stubborn midfielder so he used the trick on me to get that penalty.

“I never touched him. I went for a hard block and he internationally fell. So I don't think that was a penalty,” Abdul Aziz Nurudeen told Angel TV in an interview on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

Abdul Aziz Nurudeen displayed top form during that particular match but unfortunately, a bad call from the matchday referee saw his team lose the match.

Subsequently, a review proved that there was no foul committed. The Ghana FA thus handed a ban to the referee.

At the end of the season, Asante Kotoko with help from points amassed from that game managed to finish the season as Champions of the Ghana Premier League.
