Faith Ladies CEO Allotey bemoans struggle of WPL clubs to find suitable home grounds

The Chief Executive Officer of Faith Ladies FC, Ebenezer Allotey, has bemoaned the struggle of Ghana Women's Premier League clubs to find suitable home grounds.

Most of the teams competing in the Ghana Women's top flight do not have traditional home venues to play their home games and have to adopt school parks or share with men's clubs.

Faith Ladies are partnering with National Division One League outfit Liberty Professionals to use the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park as their home ground.

This is usually difficult when it comes to building rapport with fans, and it, in turn, affects the revenue of the clubs because no gate proceeds come in.

"A lot of eyeballs are currently on the Women's Premier League. Just that physically coming into the stadium [is a bit problematic]," he told Citi Sports.

"The disadvantage is that most of these women's football teams are struggling with grounds where they will play their home games."
