Farouk Mohammed reveals Maxwell Konadu engineering his move to Enyimba FC

After guiding Enyimba FC to lift the Nigerian Professional Football League, Ghanaian midfielder Farouk Mohammed has revealed the key role played by Black Stars B coach Maxwell Konadu in getting him to the Nigerian side.

The hard tackling defensive midfielder played a key role in guiding Enyimba FC to lift the Nigerian league title after falling out with Ghanaian side Elmina Sharks.

Farouk, a member of Maxwell Konadu’s Black Stars B side that failed to qualify for the 2018 CHAN, was released by Elmina Sharks after the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season after his contract expiration.

The player has applauded the Ghana coach for his influential role in getting him sign for the Nigerian side.

“Coach Maxwell Konadu recommended me to Enyimba FC,” Farouk said.

“I’m so grateful to him and Allah will continue to bless him,” he added.

Maxwell Konadu has been the head coach of Ghana’s Black Stars B since 2013, giving him enough experience on the local science regarding quality players.
