Ghanaian winger Fatawu Issahaku is on the verge of turning his loan deal with newly promoted Leicester City into a permanent move, following an impressive season with the Foxes.

The 20-year-old joined Leicester City on loan from Sporting Lisbon on 31 August 2023 and has since become a fan favorite at the King Power Stadium.

Issahaku made his club debut in the Championship just three days after signing, coming on as a 54th-minute substitute in a 1–0 home loss to Hull City. He quickly established himself as a key player for the Foxes, scoring his first goal for the club in a 3–1 away win against Swansea City on 21 October, 2023.

Leicester City were promoted back to the Premier League when Leeds United suffered a 4-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Friday evening at the Loftus Road Stadium. The Foxes are now dominating the Championship title battle and could clinch the top spot as early as Monday if third-placed Ipswich Town loses to Hull City on Saturday.

Fatawu has been a revelation for Leicester City this season, playing 38 games, scoring six goals, and providing twelve assists in the Championship. His most memorable performance came on Tuesday when he scored a hat trick against Southampton, further endearing himself to the Leicester City faithful.

According to Transfermarkt, Fatawu Issahaku's current market value stands at €7,000,000. With his impressive performances and growing potential, it's no surprise that Leicester City are eager to secure his services on a permanent basis.

The young Ghanaian winger looks set to light up the Premier League next season in a Leicester City shirt.
