FIFA slaps Club Africain with 45 day ultimatum to pay Derrick Sasraku $140,000

Striker Derrick Sasraku won his case against Club Africain with the Tunisian side being forced to

pay him a sum totaling US$ 140,000 for his unfair termination of the contract earlier this year.

Club African have been handed a 45-day ultimatum to pay the former Aduana Stars player or face a ban from registering new players either nationally or internationally this decision was made on 27 April 2020.

The Tunisian club parted ways in February with the former Aduana Stars striker but they were found guilty by a FIFA Dispute Resolution Panel.

In August 2018, Sasraku joined Club Africain and made 11 appearances in the 2018/2019 season in the Tunisian league.

The ruling signed by Chief Legal & Compliance Officer Emilio García Silvero read: ''The Respondent, Club Africain, has to pay to the claimant, within 45 days as from the date of notification of this decision, the amount of USD 79,201 plus interest:

''The Respondent has to pay to the claimant the amount of USD 450 corresponding to a flight ticket from Tunis to Accra.

''The Respondent has to pay the Claimant compensation for breach of contract in the amount of USD 47,038 plus 18% interest p.a. as from 24 January 2020 until the date of effective payment.''
