Fiorentina left the San Siro with their heads held high, taking a 1-0 win over AC Milan courtesy of a Federico Chiesa effort from distance in the second half.
Milan pegged the visitors back for much of the game and repeatedly tested Alban Lafont in goal, but Fiorentina got the all important goal and held out for their first Serie A away win of the season.
The result also takes La Viola to within two points of the Rossoneri, with European football still very much up for grabs.
