Ghana and Fiorentina midfielder Alfred Duncan has been ruled out of their clash against Atalanta in the Serie A on Saturday afternoon at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.

The 26-year-old completed a €15m switch to Fiorentina on the transfer deadline day, bringing an end to his four-year stay with the Neroverdi.

However, Duncan arrived at the club with an injury and according to his manager Giuseppe Iachini, he won't be available for the selection this weekend.

"Yesterday he started working separately with the medical staff, today there is another training session, we will check with him next week," he said.

He made 13 appearances for US Sassuolo, scored one goal and provided five assists in all competitions this term.

He has featured in eight games of the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars.

Fiorentina are currently 14th on the league table with 25 points after 22 round of matches played so far in the 2019/20 season.
