Ghana international Andre Ayew made a return from injury on Sunday afternoon as he climbed off the bench to score for his Swansea City outfit in their 2-2 draw against Reading.

The Swans after missing out on automatic promotion to the English Premier League are now keen on getting to the playoffs to have any chance of achieving that long dream.

Today, the team visited the Madejski Stadium to take on Reading in a crucial game in the English Championship as the campaign gears to its conclusion.

Although Andre Ayew was expected to sit out of the contest, he was named on Swansea City’s bench after recovering from his injury setback.

In the second half when his team was down by a goal to nil courtesy of a first-half strike from Yakou Meite, his manager Steve Cooper introduced him into the game to replace Liam Cullen in the 64th minute.

Making an instant impact, the Black Stars asset was in the thick of affairs when Jamal Lowe equalized four minutes later to restore parity for the away team.

Later in the game, Andre Ayew scored with a fine effort after receiving a pass from Jake Bidwell to give Swansea City the lead for the first time in the match.

Unfortunately, a late goal from Tomas Esteves in added time ensured that Reading forced the game to earn a draw.
