The Black Stars defender spent the greater part of last season on the sidelines after picking up an injury in their 1-1 draw against West Ham in October.

Having recovered from the injury, he has gradually picked up and has been training hard for the upcoming season.

Daniel Amartey climbed off the bench in the second half to help Leicester City draw 2-2 with the Rotherham in a preseason friendly.

Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho bagged a brace for the Premier League side with Carlton Morris and Michael Ihiekwe netting Rotherham United’s goals.

Amartey looked good on the ball and is set to play a key role for the Foxes when the 2019/2020 season starts.
