Fit-again Manuel Mantey returns to Medeama squad to face Hearts of Oak

Medeama midfielder Manuel Mantey is available for selection ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League game against Hearts of Oak.

The Phobians will play host to the Yellow and Mauves at the Accra Sports Stadium in the week eight clash of the domestic top-flight on Wednesday afternoon.

However, the 19-year-old is returning to action for the Ghana champions after missing a couple of games after picking up an injury that ruled him out for several weeks.

Mantey sustained injury in his sides Ghana Premier League opener against Accra Lions, where his side played out a 2-2 draw at the Akoon Community Park. He has since missed six games in the Ghanaian top-flight and also the CAF Champions League success over Guinean giants Horoya AC.

But the defending champions has been boosted by the return of their dependable midfielder ahead of their game against Hearts of Oak.

Medeama coach Evans Augustine Adotey has named a 26-man squad for the double trip to the capital where his side face both Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium and El-Wak Stadium on Wednesday and Sunday respectively.

Medeama are 8th on the table with 10 points from seven games with an outstanding match against Nsoatreman FC in the offing.
