There is some amount of respect to be given for players who may be playing terrible football, but at least recognise how awful they are.
Italian strikerSimone Zaza scored a grand total of zero goals for West Ham during his loan spell from Juventus agreed in the summer, and his lack of understanding for the English game was a contributing factor in the Hammers' dreadful start to the season at the London Stadium.

On the other hand, he has faced up to a press conference at new club Valencia to explain to reporters just how bad he was, and has held nothing back.
When I joined from Juventus I was very optimistic." Zaza admitted at the conference.
"I wanted to experience playing in England because I thought it was the football that I liked and where I could use my qualities."
How did that turn out for you, Simone?
Everything started badly from the outset, I think the main blame lies with me because I was not right mentally, I was very negative and in all the things that happened I never saw the positive side."
There was an atmosphere, a culture very different to mine. That was a problem. Now I'm here I feel bad not to have shown in England what I'm capable of.
Zaza now plays for Spanish club Valencia, whoarestruggling at just one place above the relegation zone in La Liga. Their deal for the striker is similar to West Ham's - a £1.76m loan deal rising to a £14m permanent fee if Zaza is a hit.
Will Zaza be just as terrible in Spain as he was in England?
