Edwin Gyasi has called on Chelsea forward, Callum Hudson Odoi to follow his heart as to which country he wants to play for.

The 20-year-old who has been in the West African country for holidays has dominated the local headlines and the local media.

Following his arrival, Hudson Odoi has visited President Akufo Addo, Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif and Ghana Football Association president, Kurt Okraku.

After his visit to the presidency, a statement by the presidency said the president has tasked the Sports Minister and the country's football governing body to explore the possibilities to lure the Chelsea academy graduate to play for the Black Stars.

But the former CSKA Sofia winger stated that Hudson Odoi must not bow to pressure and take any hasty decision but rather listen to his conscience at this critical moment of his international career.

“I will advise him (Hudson-Odoi) to follow his heart rather than bowing to public pressure at this critical moment in his career,” Gyasi, a former CSKA Sofia and Samsunspor winger told Kasapa FM.

Callum Hudson Odoi has represented England at both the under 16 and 19 level and is eligible to switch nationality since he has not made an appearance for the senior team, The Three Lions.

He is the youngest player to win the Champions League and the Europa League with Chelsea.
