Former Black Starlets Head Coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, has raised concerns about Ghana's football talent wastage, attributing it to the country's inadequate scouting system.

The 64-year-old emphasized the urgent need for an improved scouting mechanism that aligns with Ghanaian football philosophy to effectively discover and nurture talents.

Paa Kwesi Fabin reiterated that Ghana possesses an abundance of untapped football talent.

However, he expressed dismay at the prevailing wastefulness due to the weaknesses in the current scouting system.

Drawing a parallel with the problem of waste in various industries and jurisdictions, he highlighted the necessity for a robust scouting system that can identify and nurture these latent talents.

"I've said time and again that Ghana abounds in a lot of talent. However, like in other companies or jurisdictions where waste is a problem, we are wasting a lot of talent in Ghana because our scouting system is not strong enough," Fabin told Citi Sports.
