In a refreshing turn of events, hooliganism has significantly decreased throughout the current football season, signaling some improvement.

This encouraging trend has been lauded by Kudjoe Fianoo, the head of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).

League centers in the past seasons experienced a sharp rise in hooliganism which prompted stakeholders to act.

Division One League Zone One experienced a lot of hooliganism which made football authorities split the zone into A and B. This move has minimized hooliganism in the zone.

"There is much more room for improvement I saw some improvement over in the past hooliganism especially in some of the zones. I can say that this year it has come down a little you will not get it perfectly officiating," he told Happy FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"But one thing too that I have seen in football is that the way we carry our stories someone is playing football because he has been defeated he has to go and say something to his supporters. He will go and say that the referee has cheated me or someone has done something some are just exaggerations,"
