FOOTIE TWEETS: Liverpool fans start #kloppout trend; Real Madrid, Barcelona dominate FIFA Best awards; Man Utd crash back to earth;

Published on: 24 October 2017

Well it was another action packed weekend across world football, of course. Huddersfield Town stunned Manchester United while Liverpool's shoddy defence was once again exposed, this time by Tottenham Hotspur. The Serie A season continues to look as though it'll be it's most competitive in years. And Cristiano Ronaldo was awarded his second consecutive FIFA Best Men's Player of the Year award.

Here are all the stories that mattered from the week that was in football. (In 140 characters or less)

____

It all began on Friday night when West Ham were obliterated at home by Brighton and Hove Albion, and let's just say Hammers fans were not impressed…

— Stevie Sizzle (@TheSullis) October 20, 2017West Ham usually have the decency to wait until 5pm Saturday to ruin my weekend. They've outdone themselves this week though.
— Scott Haime (@scotthaime) October 20, 2017I've seen West Ham lose 5-0 to Notts Forest & 6-0 to Man City in the space of 3 days. Seen us play 352 times. That is the most embarrassing.

_____

A new trend emerged after Liverpool were destroyed by Tottenham on Sunday…

Klopp is NOT good enough, realise the truth. I do not care how good we *can* be going forward, no defence = no title challenge #kloppout
— Graham Cross (@GrahamCross19) October 22, 2017Just left Wembley. My son is in tears. He won't stop crying, saying he wants to support Man City instead. Absolutely fuming. #KloppOut

Others were asking questions legitimate questions…

Since Mignolet's debut for Liverpool in August 2013, he has made more errors leading to a goal than any other player in the Premier League.
— Oliver Bond (@Oliver__Bond) October 22, 2017Problem under Rodgers was conceding goals. 4 out of the back 5 still Rodgers signings two years on that can't be right.
— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) October 22, 2017

Burn…

It's as hard to defend Liverpool as it is for Liverpool to defend.
— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) October 22, 2017Do Liverpool actually work on defending in training?! #TOTLIV
