Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei debunks attacking Ghanaian media amid coronavirus pandemic

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei has refuted claims of attacking Ghanaian media for carrying on with their sports programmes amid coronavirus outbreak.

The disease also called COVID-19 has led to the suspension of football activities in the world including the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

Nii Adjei, who currently plays for King Faisal was reported to have launched a scathing attack on the sports media on his Facebook page calling them to stop wasting their airtime to discussing a non-existing sport.

But the former TP Mazembe player has come out to debunk writing such thing on his Facebook page as he believes his account was hacked.

"It’s not true. I didn’t write anything of the sort on my page. I’m suspecting someone hacked my account. I will never write that," he told Ashh FM in Kumasi.

The 30-year-old won the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup titles during his stint with T.P Mazembe.

He also won three Ghana Premier League championships and two Super Cup titles with Asante Kotoko.
