Former Black Stars defender, Emmanuel Ampiah, has urged current and future professional football players to ensure that they collect any outstanding payments owed to them before they retire.

This advice comes after many retired footballers have reported struggling to get the money they are owed, which can lead to financial difficulties and hardship.

With his own experience as a former professional footballer, Ampiah understands the importance of ensuring that players are paid what they are owed, and he hopes that his advice will encourage players to take proactive steps to protect their financial futures.

"This matter I have talked about it several times if you talk somebody near you will say so you didn't say anything in the past and you are now complaining. That is why I always encourage the players that all their money if there is any amount owed them they should collect it before they play," he told Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV

"Because of what they did to us I don't want it to happen to them so when they are debating on what they will collect I agree with them. Someone who hasn't played football before won't agree but I agree with them,"
