Former Black Stars winger Laryea Kingston set to join Hearts of Oak as assistant coach

Former Black Stars winger Laryea Kingston is set to join Accra Hearts of Oak as an assistant coach according to reports in the local media. 

The former Hearts of Oak winger is now an assistant coach for Ghana's U-17 national team, the Black Starlets.

Following his retirement from professional football, he stepped into management and has been working as a juvenile coach.

Kingston, who was a member of Ghana's Black Stars from 2002 to 2010, previously served as a youth team coach at the Right to Dream Academy before taking on his present job with the U-17s.

Kingston started his career with local side Great Olympics, whom he joined aged 16, before moving to Libyan side Al-Ittihad Tripoli in 2000.

He played for these clubs Al-Ettifaq, Maccabi Ahi Nazareth, Hapoel Tel Aviv 24, Krylia Sovetov Samara, Terek Grozny, Lokomotiv Moscow, Heart of Midlothian, Vitesse Arnhem, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Hearts of Oak and Phoenix FC before hanging up his boots.
